NRS Soil mixture for Rhododendron cuttings

1st year for 4’x4’ containers – 50% Western ground bark; 50% perlite – mixed with water.

2nd year – transplanting into 1-gallon pots – 50% western ground bark; 25% perlite; 25% fish compost.

Add to it

2-handfuls of Dolomite lime on 4 cubic feet above mixture.

2-3 teaspoon on 4 cubic feet of Iron Sulphate and Sulphur.

1/3 teaspoon manganese (not magnesium).

1 handful of rhododendron fertilizer.

Mix all the above with water.

Use the same combination when transplanting from one gallon to 2-gallon pots.

IMPORTANT: soil must be premixed at least one week ahead to give the soil time to absorb the water.
