The Nanaimo Rhododendron Society (NRS) was established in September 1992. It is affiliated with the American Rhododendron Society, and is one of seven chapters in British Columbia, including four others on Vancouver Island and two more in the Lower Mainland. Please see: All about us:

The purpose of the Society is to introduce members and the public to rhododendrons through meetings, garden tours, and flower shows and to provide an opportunity to meet people with similar interests. Our regular meeting is at Beban Park, (2300 Bowen Road), in Nanaimo. Please apply for your membership at our next regular meeting.

13th of August  2024 – 9 am to noon – Hailey Grove Work party at Bowen Park. Parking next to the tennis courts. Bring your gloves and water, the City will provide the tools.

September 10th 2024 – 9 am to noon – Hailey Grove Work party at Bowen Park. Parking next to the tennis courts. Bring your gloves and water, the City will provide the tools.

September 12th 2024 – 5:30 pm – The September meeting will be at Chris Southwick’s home and garden at 6647 Green Acres Way in Nanaimo with a short program on rhododendron problems and pests from 5:30 – 6:00 pm followed by our AGM starting at 6:00, and a social that will include a potluck dinner.

October 8th 2024 – 9 am to noon – Hailey Grove Work party at Bowen Park. Parking next to the

tennis courts. Bring your gloves and water, the City will provide the tools.

October 10th 2024 – 7:30 pm – Our regular meeting at Beban Park in Nanaimo. Speaker to be announced soon.

November 12th 2024 – 9 am to noon – Hailey Grove Work party at Bowen Park. Parking next to the tennis courts. Bring your gloves and water, the City will provide the tools.

November 14th 2024 – 7:30 pm – Regular meeting at Beban Park (2300 Bowen Road) in Nanaimo. Speaker to be announced soon.
