The Nanaimo Rhododendron Society (NRS) was established in September 1992. It is affiliated with the American Rhododendron Society, and is one of seven chapters in British Columbia, including four others on Vancouver Island and two more in the Lower Mainland. Please see: All about us:

The purpose of the Society is to introduce members and the public to rhododendrons through meetings, garden tours, and flower shows and to provide an opportunity to meet people with similar interests. Our regular meeting is at Beban Park, (2300 Bowen Road), in Nanaimo. Please apply for your membership at our next regular meeting.

October 8th 2024 – 9 am to noon – Hailey Grove Work party at Bowen Park. Parking next to the tennis courts. Bring your gloves and water, the City will provide the tools.

October 10th 2024 – 7:30 pm – Our regular meeting at Beban Park in Nanaimo. Speaker: Tamara Dintner on Soil.

October 27, 2024 – 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM – 2024 Fall into Gardening – “Planning for the Future” – 
MARS (Mount Arrowsmith Rhododendron Society), NRS (Nanaimo Rhododendron Society), and VIMGA (Vancouver Island Master Gardeners Association) are pleased to offer a day of education and enjoyment with internationally recognized gardening experts.
